Turbo 2
A downloadable game
TURBO 2
Nine rivals. Three categories. One championship to win.
Hit the accelerator in a colourful arcade racer inspired by the racing games of the ’80s and ’90s. Pixel graphics, synthesised engines, changing scenery and a ticking clock, every race is a challenge!
Two ways to race
CHAMPIONSHIP Start at the back of the grid and fight your way through Amateur, Semi Pro and Pro. Defeat nine rivals in each category while reaching checkpoints before time runs out. Your opponents dodge traffic, use turbo and fight to take their positions back!
SINGLE RACE Choose from 15 environments and take on nine determined rivals without ordinary traffic or roadworks. You have just three turbo charges for the entire race: make them count.
Take on GP Race, a three-lap circuit with demanding corners, chicanes, elevation changes and rumbling kerbs. The circuit changes between races, but stays consistent across all three laps.
Every road has its own challenges
Race through coastlines, pine forests, snowy mountains, neon cities, countryside, tunnels, thunderstorms and fog.
Drive beneath a giant sequoia, cross a swaying bridge among cherry blossoms, encounter a UFO in Area 51 and brave the hazards of Volcano Run.
Watch for oil, ice, puddles, falling coconuts, tumbleweeds and other surprises. In Championship, traffic and emergency vehicles add to the challenge.
Fight for your best run
- Time your acceleration at the green light for a perfect-start boost.
- Use turbo to attack, but take care in the corners.
- Earn a one-time clean-overtake bonus for passing each rival without contact.
- Compete on separate Championship and Single Race leaderboards.
- Save three-letter initials with your score and run time.
- At equal scores, the faster time ranks higher, down to hundredths of a second.
Local records work offline. Online leaderboards require an internet connection, with no player registration needed.
Retro looks, modern options
Enjoy animated scenery, changing weather, distinctive rival liveries and an arcade soundtrack. Adjust music and sound effects, and choose whether to enable scanlines, screen curvature and rival names.
The Windows version starts in fullscreen with an illustrated arcade bezel. Switch the bezel on or off in Options; your preference is saved.
Controls
Xbox controller support (v1.2.5): Race with the left stick or D-pad, use RT to accelerate, LT to brake, A for turbo and Start to pause or resume. Navigate menus with the stick or D-pad, confirm with A and go back with B, no mouse needed.
Vibration: Feel turbo boosts, collisions, kerbs, skids and off-road driving. Roadworks barriers deliver a stronger impact, while cones give a lighter bump. Switch feedback on or off in Options. Vibration availability depends on your controller, connection and browser.
Keyboard menus: Use arrows or WASD to select, Enter to confirm and Esc to go back.
Keyboard: Arrow keys or WASD to drive, Space or Shift for turbo, P to pause and M to toggle audio.
Mouse: Hold the left button to accelerate, move to steer and right-click for turbo. Release the left button to slow down.
F11: Toggle fullscreen in the Windows version.

I really like this! I've played the original in the arcade as a kid. The fresh look a smoother 3D while keeping it retro look like, especially the road and environment changes.
Played on desktop, is there a way to play full-screen?
thank you very much! full screen button added. I also added a scanline effect to evoke the arcade classics :)
Thanks! At full screen was able to get to level 25. My own racing game is 2D, but I also have night/weather. You'd done those well here.
